BECOMING A DEITY
The highest thing to attain for and literally the hardest thing to become. The game administrators look to those they can trust, and are good roleplayers that they can add to their deity team. Players who have been playing the game for a long time, and know it well. Players who know their Forgotten Realms Lore, or are willing to read up on it. When the administrators see someone they think will make a good deity, they watch them, for a long time. They will have them added to the newbie council and will observe how they interact with others. Some players for various reason, may never do more than serve on the newbie council. This does not make them any less valuable to the administrators, its sometimes felt they best serve the game in the newbie council alone. Once the administrators have decided someone will make good deity material they bring the player before the rest of the deity team for the vote.
A deity is something that can never be applied for. Don't even ask. In fact asking will hurt your chances.
Please note that being a builder does not grant you godhood on the real game like it does for some muds. Being a builder and a god are totally seperate things on Forgotten Kingdoms. A builder will get an immortal character on the testport only, with which they can test their areas and if they have OLC rights, build their areas.
