AREA CHECK
A basic area check program for windows has now been written. Builders that are working off line are asked to download the area check program and run each update they send through the area check program. This will save alot of time debugging on the part of the Area Admin.
Instructions for use of the windows version:
- Place the fkcheck.exe file in the same directory as your area file/s.
- From file explorer double click on the fkcheck.exe icon.
- File, Open, Choose your area file.
- Hit the check (big red tick) button to check the program.
- The program can be placed on your desktop and run from there also.
Instructions for use of the old dos version:
- Place the files fkcheck.exe and fkbit.lst in the same directory as your area file/s.
- Open a dos window and change to the directory with the area file/s.
- Type fkcheck filename.are
- If you find that the output is more than the screen length type fkcheck filename.are | more
- The checker program should pick up any errors you have. Common ones are missing tildas.
