BESHABA

Beshaba is also known as the Maid of Misfortune, Black Bess, Lady Doom, the Maid of Misrule, Tyche's Unpleasant daughter.

Beshaba is a deity feared and placated in the Kingdoms much more than she is venerated. When she appears she looks like a lovely maiden with snow white hair but her features are twisted by maniacal laughter.

Despite being known as the daughter of Tyche, technically this is not true as she is half of the deity once known as Tyche and the other half is Tymora.

Beshaba is spiteful, petty and malicious. While most fear the presense of Beshaba at any special events or ceremonies, no one will not invite her as they fear to offend her.

The ethos of Beshaba is the beliefs of Tymora stood on their head. Bad things happen to everyone, and only by following Beshaba may a person perhaps be spared the worst of her affects. Too much good luck is a bad thing, and to even it out, the wise should plan to undermine the fortunate. Whatever happens, it can only get worse.

The church of Beshaba sponsors a special assassin order made up of male priests, rogues and warriors called The Black Fingers.

She has no allies and her foe is Tymora.
