GRUUMSH

Gruumsh is also know as Gruumsh One-Eyeg, od of the orcs, He Who Watches, He Who Never Sleeps, the Great Corruptor.

Gruumsh requires frequent blood sacrifices. Tribal traitors are best, followed by elves, followed by other intelligent creatures, followed by animals.

Priests of Gruumsh must pluck out their left eye (unless the right eye was already lost).

His followers must attack and kill all elves on sight.

The tribes that follow Gruumsh tend to be the most "generic" tribes. They are bent on conquest, but are also possessed of a certain low cunning, and will not throw their lives away needlessly. These tribes include the Evil Eye and Impaled Head tribes. The priests of Gruumsh will typically be the power behind the chieftains, and will only expose themselves when absolutely necessary.

Legend tells that Gruumsh has never found joy in anything, that he knows only hate and envy. In his company it is easy to believe this true. But it is Corellon Larethian and his pathetic elves which Gruumsh despises above all other things. For it was Corellon in dishonorable combat who destroyed his left-eye and rendered the other unable to shut.

His primary foe is Corellon Lorenthian and also Lloth. His ally is Malar.
