MALAR
Malar is also known as The Beastlord, Lord of Beasts, the Black-Blooded Pard and the Ravaging Bear.
The structure of worship among the Beastlords's followers is that of the hunt. The most powerful member of a group is named as the huntmaster. His leadership can be challenged at any time by others, at which time he can resign to the challenger or, more often, have a battle to the death. It is the huntsman that dictates when ceremonial hunts will occur, the type of prey that will be sought, and the location of the hunt.
The most famous weapon among the followers of Malar is the claw of Malar. Only followers are allowed to use this weapon, and any non-believer found to be in possession of one will be hunted and slain as a warning to others.
Druids are most hated among the followers of Malar, and followers actively seek out and destroy druids, regardless of their faith. Malar also carries a burning hostility towards elves of all kinds. As a result of this hatred on the part of Malar and his followers, organizations such as the Harpers try to seek out and destroy Malarian strongholds.
Survival of the fittest and winnowing of the weak are Malar's Legacy. A brutal, bloody death has great meaning: "May you die an old man" is an insult among Malarites.
Malar's allies are Talos and Lovitar. His foes are Chauntea, Ilmater and Sune.
