MYSTRA

Mystra is also known as the Lady of Mysteries, the Mother of all Magic, Our Lady of Spells and Midnight.

During the Time of Troubles, Mystra was destroyed by Helm, causing her essence to merge with the land itself. Even Lord Ao was unable to restore her. Midnight, a devout follower of Mystra, and one of the four human mortals that helped to recover the Tablets of Fate, was elevated to replace Mystra. Midnight assumed the duties and name of Mystra.

Mystra's priests are known as the Servants of Mystery, with those priests at the highest levels referred to as Lords or Ladies of Mystery. Most worshippers of the Lady of Mysteries are human. All wielders of magic and seekers after arcane lore of any race are welcome in the service of Mystra.

Due to his actions and betrayal of her trust, during the Times of Troubles, and his wholly selfish reasons for returning the Tablets of Fate, Mystra has sworn to see to Cyric's destruction

The church of Mystra sponsors several orders:

• The Knights of the Mystic Fire - An small order of paladins.
• The Children of the Starry Quill - An order of bards.
• Order of the Shooting Star - An order of rangers.

Mystra's allies are Kelemvor, Selune, and Oghma. Her foes are Cyric and Talos.
