DEITY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Play your deity character at least 5-10 hours a week.
- Roleplay the character at all times when visable.
- No multiplay. No having your god char and your mortal char on at the same time.
- Report all bugs.
- You are the police of the realms so keep an eye out for bug abuse and other problems.
- Only use the commands listed below for roleplay and policing purposes.
- If you go afk for a short time please wisinvis your character.
- If a player prays for help that is in character it can be your policy to demand something from them for the help. ie an object, or a quest or a service. You might also take away favour or experience in exchange.
- Monitor roleplay. Things like where a guild is should be found out in character and not ooc. You might switch into a bar tender to give in character directions or the like if needed. Reward good roleplay. We want roleplay another means for leveling for the dedicated roleplayers.
- Do not put your holy symbols on random mobs for players to randomly pick up. This is poor roleplay on your part and unfair to the mortals.
- Inform the administrators when you will be away for an extended period of time so that they can roleplay your character for you. It isn't fair to the players otherwise.
- Read up all you can on your character, and be aware what classes and races can follow your deity character. The books Faiths and Avatars, Demihuman deities and Faiths and Pantheons are highly recommended as the basic reads for a deity. Novels featuring your deity should be read as well if possible.
- All deities are expected to play a mortal character. We believe it helps the player of the deity keep in touch with the game and its changes and be a better and more understanding deity. It also helps you answer out of character questions put forth by new players. Note that you are NEVER to have your deity character and your mortal character on at the same time.
- Make sure your title is appropriate. It is suggested rather than putting god of whatever in your title, you use something more subtle. For instance one of your gods known aliases. If you are not sure as to what the are, just ask. It is afterall already obvious that you are a god by the fact that it preceeds your name.
- Be prepared to present a unified front in public forums. If you have a complaint about the game take it up with the administrators direct or present it on the administrators board. There is nothing worse than deities whining in a public forum, it gives the mud the impression of being in chaos when this is not the case.
- Stay up to date with the discussion board, especially the administration forums.
Problem players policy
When you observe a problem, post about it to the administration forum on the discussion board. If you think it is worthy of a strike make sure to make it a poll so that it can be voted on for a strike. We use the strikes system to determine if a character is to be deleted or banned. If you are unsure as to handle the problem hell the character and leave them there for a member of the mortal council to deal with rather than let them roam the game without check.
Perhaps it seems harsh but we have a low tolerance of bug abuse and harrasment of any kind. This is a roleplay mud and there is no place for such actions. If you dont want to hell the player an alternative is to use the "punish" command which deducts experience. Make sure you post any "punishes" done on the administration discussion board. Certain offences will result in character stripping of objects. Offences like multiplay transferal of equipment between characters or abuse of a bug to gain coins and so on will result in this action.
Commands
You should note that many of these commands when used go to the log file.
- speak all - This enables you to speak all languages at once.

- punish - This is the opposite of reward in that it takes away experience. This is an alternative for sending them to hell or site banning. If you use this on a character make sure that you post a note about it on the board in the pantheon.
- bless - This adds favour to a character and can only be done by the players deity. This is to be given for in character actions that have pleased you.
- damn - This takes away favour from a character. This is to be given when a character does something that displeases you in character. Note that damn and bless are for in character use and not for punishment of out of character wrongs.

Vnums that might help 1200 pantheon, 1299 for the prayer board, 6 for the abyss, 50 for the realms of the dead and 8030 market square in waterdeep.
How do I become a god?
In order to be a god you must:
- Earn the trust of the game owners. This is the most important thing. Without this the rest doesn't matter.
- Have achieved max level with a character and shown that you can responsibly roleplay that character. (Note: Reaching max level does not automatically allow you to become a deity. It is only one of the things we look at.) Someone who makes it to max level in a record time will actually be very unlikely to make it to godhood. We do not like twinkish behaviour.
- Show that you have a good knowledge of the Kingdoms and the game play. A good knowledge of Forgotten Realms also helps.
- Be prepared to meet the responsibilities of a god. (see above).
- Don't ask. If we are interested in you we will contact you. Don't get on at level 1 and ask if you can play a deity as it will most likely turn us off you rather than make us look upon you as a potential player to role play a deity. We will be getting our new deityes from our player base. That is our long term player base.
- Please note that builders and deities are two totally seperate things on FK. A builder does not necessary become a deity. Often our deities try their hand at building, but what we look for in a deity is not building but roleplay. Builders do not get immortal characters in the game. Builders who have made their first area off line and wish to continue to build will be given an imm character with OLC commands on the TEST port not the game itself.
