TEMPUS

Tempus is also known as the Lord of Battles and Foehammer.

Tempus does not win battles -- Tempus helps the deserving warrior win battles. War is fair in that it oppresses all sides equally and that in any given battle, a mortal may be slain or become a great leader amoung his or her companions. War should not be feared, but seen as a natural force, a human force, the storm that civilisation brings by its very existance.

The followers of Tempus take a dim view of missile weapons, considering them to be cowardly weapons, and prefer combat, one-on-one.

High priests of Tempus can be recognized by the spiked gauntlet they wear as a symbol of their office. Within the church, the order is defined in military rank, such as priest-captain and most holy general.

Tempurian crusades have been referred to as "a civilized man's barbarian horde." Crusades have been know to travel great distances to bring down enemies of the faith. However, no full-blown crusades have occurred in recent times.
