Special Roleplays
On Forgotten Kingdoms we encourage roleplay and enforce it at all times. Often deities will run special roleplays or run TP's (Tiny Plots). Occasionally players will want to run their own TP. We are happy for this to happen. However, we would like ALL significant TP's to be approved by the immortals first. In order to help a TP to run smoothly often it will need divine intervention, whether it be a special object, or special echos or a special mob to interact with the PC's. In general we will only approve those roleplays that involve many characters, not those that are specifically thought up to benefit only one character, or a very small select group of characters.
SPECIAL CHARACTERS
If you wish for your character to be something that is not the norm then you must apply for it. You should detail your characters information to the applications committee. A sample application can be found at our old Discussion Forum
Your application is put before the deities for a vote. The more information that you give the better. Try and be consise with a summary of what you want as sometimes what is really wanted can be lost in rambling.

Please note that players with strikes on any of their characters are not eligible to apply for special roleplay applications. Also make sure that we are accepting special roleplay applications. The status can be viewed on our discussion board.

Special Powers
While it is tempting for players to invent for their characters "special powers" to help them stand out in roleplay, such roleplay may see characters in competition with one another for the most outrageous or the most interesting "special power", to the detriment of roleplay.
The policy on special powers is as follows:
- Your powers are limited to those that are assigned to your race. Aquiring greater powers is a matter for the gods, either as:
- * as a part of role-play with direct deity intervention (ie, you get your special power given to you)
- OR
- * with the Admin's ok as part of a role play plot (ie, you role-play that you've got magical powers outside the norm without actually having them coded.
Characters claiming "special powers" without falling into one of the above categories will be in breach of this policy.
